This could be a boon for live streaming at hotels and banquet halls that don't have fast Ethernet. Do you know anyone in the Bay Area offering this service at a daily rate?

HI Stu, Since this is a brand new service I'm not aware of any affilliate programs that offer daily rentals. I'll look into it though. The monthly rental price is very affordable when you consider the bandwidth costs alone at hotel rates for dedicated bandwidth and static IP. Livestream has a free, ad-supported service, and a premium service that gives producers advanced features (remove ads, high quality, widescreen, white label, privacy options, etc.) starting at $350 per month.

LiveStream should look into integrating Mushroom Networks' portable broadband bonding product that combines up to 4 USB-based wireless data cards. http://www.mushroomnetworks.com/product.aspx?pr...
Would give much higher, more consistent upload speeds + network redundency for live (low-latency) events.

Web casting, or broadcasting over the internet, is a media file (audio-video mostly) distributed over the internet using streaming media technology. Streaming implies media played as a continuous stream and received real time by the browser (end user). Streaming technology enables a single content source to be distributed to many simultaneous viewers. Streaming video bandwidth is typically calculated in gigabytes of data transferred. It is important to estimate how many viewers you can reach, for example in a live webcast, given your bandwidth constraints or conversely, if you are expecting a certain audience size, what bandwidth resources you need to deploy.
